Events

Every spring since Quincy Jones Elementary School's opening in 2010, we have hosted a unique, vibrant jazz festival showcasing the creative talents of our scholars. There are art workshops with our esteemed, local artists, free giveaways and health screenings from professionals in the community. It is a wonderful event to bring the entire family as we celebrate the jazz culture that existed here on Central Avenue, right where Quincy Jones Elementary School stands, from 1920 to 1955. 

Every December, our classes display their artistic performances for families to kick off the holiday spirit. We take pride in our performances as the students practice for months with our music teacher, Mr. McLean. In the past, some classes also perform choreographed dances and skits which add to our repertoire of talents.
